16 May 3 Different Ways to Use Pet Health CBD Tinctures
There are more ways to use Pet Health CBD Tinctures than adding them to your pet’s food or administering them orally. We’ve come up with 3 creative ways that you can use our tinctures for your pets.
Pet Health Olive Oil Tincture
You can use the Pet Health CBD tincture with olive oil in your pet’s shampoo. Olive oil is good for their skin as a natural moisturizer just as it is for your skin. If you notice your pet scratching a little more than normal, consider rubbing some of our olive oil tincture directly into their skin. A couple of drops per trouble area should be all you need.
If you notice that your dog or cat is sensitive to certain shampoos, you can also apply a bit of the olive oil tincture to areas that seem to be bothering them. It may help calm the incessant itching as the olive oil moisturizes the skin.
This tincture may also help your pet’s fur. When you want to use the Pet Health CBD Olive Oil Tincture for your pet’s fir, we suggest adding a few drops to water (about 1 cup of water) and massaging it in. It’s an oil treatment for their fur. Just as you might use hot oil treatments to rejuvenate your hair, a warm olive oil and water treatment for your pet’s fur might have the same result.
If your pet has a thin coat, is hairless or burns easily in the sun – a natural concoction might do their little bodies some good. Try combining Vitamin E gel with a few drops of Pet Health CBD olive oil tincture. You could also use the Muscle & Joint formula as well.
If you prefer to use a cooling agent, aloe vera is non-toxic for dogs, so you can mix a little CBD oil with aloe vera for your dog’s sunburn too. Aloe vera can be very soothing for abrasions, insect bites and sunburn – as well as dry skin.
Pet Insect Bites
What do you do when your pet won’t stop scratching an insect bite? It annoys them as much as it does you when you get an insect bite. You might think to go right for the calamine lotion, but don’t reach for that in this situation. Calamine lotion contains zinc at a concentration that may be toxic for dogs.
Instead, add a few drops of our olive oil tincture into a small squeeze of aloe vera. Rub this into the skin well. It’s okay if they lick it – neither is toxic to your dog.
Oatmeal baths are also good for helping to calm the irritation from insect bites. After the bath, rub a little Pet Health CBD Olive Oil or Muscle & Joint tincture directly onto the insect bite. The extra moisturizer from the olive oil and MCT oil may help calm the itching some.
We hope that these creative ways to use Pet Health CBD tinctures gives you more options to use them on your pet. As you can see, these tinctures are quite versatile. They don’t have to be administered just in your pet’s food or orally.
