12 Dec CBD Christmas Cookies for your Dog
Those cookies sure smell good to your dog. While yours might have chocolate or other ingredients that they can’t have, you can make them their own batch of CBD Christmas cookies. It’s also a clever way to get them their daily dose of CBD. If they take 2 doses a day, they can have 2 cookies. They’ll feel extra special this Christmas.
One of the benefits of these CBD Christmas Cookies is that you can choose the Pet Health CBD tincture that best suits your dog’s needs. Please make sure to review our CBD Dosage Guide for Pets to ensure that you’re giving your dog the right dose.
It is important that you know your dog’s exact weight to ensure that you’re measuring out the right dose. Pets need an accurate dose and estimating their weight might mean they’re getting more CBD than they need. Our dosage guide is easy to follow.
Pumpkin Peanut Butter CBD Christmas Tree Cookies
These little tree cookies will have your dog begging for seconds. It’s okay to give them more than one cookie, but make sure that only one has their dose of CBD on it.
2 cups whole wheat flour (or the flour that your pet tolerates)
2/3 cup no sugar added peanut butter
1 dose Pet Health CBD Tincture per cookie
1 cup pumpkin puree
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees and lightly brush or spray a baking sheet with coconut or olive oil.
Simply combine the peanut butter and pumpkin together and fold in the flour. The dough will be a little crumbly. Knead until smooth.
Roll out and use your Christmas tree cutter to make the shapes. Place them on the baking sheet about ½” apart and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and drizzle their ideal dose of CBD over the top of the warm cookie.
CBD Gingerbread Cookies
Ginger is tasty to dogs. If you’re making a batch of gingerbread men for you and your guests, make a special batch for your dog. The recipe for your dog is a little different than it is for you. You can use carob chips to make a drizzle to decorate them if you wish.
2 oz. molasses
1 dose Pet Health CBD per cookie
2 oz. non-dairy yogurt chips
1 oz. olive oil
4 oz. carob chips
1 oz. finely grated ginger root
8 oz. quick oats
Start by combining the oats and molasses in a bowl. Grate the ginger directly into the mixing bowl. Add just a couple of teaspoons of warm water to release the flavor of the ginger.
Roll the mixture out to ¼” thickness and use a gingerbread man cookie cutter to make the fun shapes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes, turn them over and then reduce the heat to 275 for an additional 30 minutes.
While the cookies are on their 2nd baking cycle, prepare the dip. For this, you’ll add the yogurt chips and carob chips into separate bowls. Warm them in the microwave for 30 seconds each and add ½ of the olive oil to each bowl. Stir and heat again until both are smooth. Add enough doses of the Pet Health CBD tincture you choose to coat each cookie with 1 dose. This will take a little math on your part.
Dip the cookies into the carob syrup first. Let it harden. Pipe the yogurt mixture onto the cookies in any design you wish. Dogs don’t know the difference; they just smell something yummy that they want to eat.
Let the yogurt chip drizzle harden before giving the treats to your dog.
These fun CBD Christmas cookies for your dogs will have them feeling extra special this holiday season. You can make these cookies all year long in different shapes, or just cut them into squares. You can also add apple to the recipe to give your dog a little variety.
