20 Jun Exotic Fruit and CBD Oil Treats for Your Dogs
Dogs enjoy a little cold fruit in the summer. It’s a special treat for them. If you’re having a cool treat, why not give your dog a healthy treat too? There are a few exotic fruits that are approved for dogs to eat, and of course, you can also add their dose of CBD to the treats too.
5 Exotic Fruits Dogs Can Have
Some of these fruits you may not consider exotic, but they are okay for your dog to eat. It’s important to keep the portions small though. Too much fruit could give your dog an upset stomach or diarrhea. As with most people foods – moderation is key.

Boysenberry might not be available locally, but when you can find them, they are one of the fruits that don’t bother a dog’s digestive tract in an appropriate serving size. Of course, eating a whole handful could cause some diarrhea; you should keep the portion small.
Your dog should never ingest the seeds or pits of fruits. Some seeds may seem harmless, but some are harder to digest and pass than others. Always seed fruit when giving it to your dog.
Greek Yogurt and Cantaloupe Doggy Pops
Cantaloupe, Greek yogurt and Pet Health CBD Organic Olive Oil Tincture make a great frozen treat for your dog. It’s important to ensure that you’re only putting 1 dose of Pet Health CBD tincture in each portion. Pets require a specific dosage; the link provided in the previous sentence is to our CBD dosage guide for pets. We stress reviewing it before starting your dog on a CBD regimen.
½ cup Greek Yogurt
¼ cup cantaloupe
1 dose Pet Health CBD Organic Olive Tincture per serving
Puree the cantaloupe and strain it. Blend it with the Greek yogurt and place the appropriate portion into a silicone mold. Consider a dog paw or bone shape to keep these treats separate from your own treats. In each portion, add the appropriate dose of CBD and give them a little stir.
Freeze for at least 4 hours and give just 1 treat to your dog a day.
Papaya and Strawberry Sorbet
¼ cup papaya juice
½ cup strawberry puree
1 dose of Pet Health CBD Tincture of your choice per serving
Simply combine the strawberry puree and papaya juice together. Pour the liquid into individual portions using a silicone mold. Unmold after freezing at least 6 hours and place the proper dose of CBD oil for your dog over the top and serve.
It’s okay to add a little whipped cream to the top of this too as an extra little treat.
These exotic fruit and CBD treats for your dogs will have them feeling spoiled this summer. Sure, some dogs might be perfectly happy with a plain ice cube, but why not give them something with flavor and nutrition instead? Speak with your vet if you are unsure of how much of these fruits your dog should have. It’s also ideal to speak with your vet regarding giving your dog CBD, it’s always best to make sure it’s okay for your dog’s specific needs.
